Rodolfo "Rudy" Ramirez

Mr. Rodolfo “Rudy” Ramirez is the Executive Director for the McAllen Housing Authority (McAHA), the public housing agency for the city of McAllen, mandated and funded by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development. As the McAllen Executive Director since 2020, he is responsible for the administration of more than 1,350 affordable housing units in McAllen. Ramirez has been involved in the community all his life, serving as a Commissioner with EHA from 1991 to 2011 and as a School Board trustee for ECISD from 1999 to 2005.

 

His experience details a dynamic leader with a proven track record in organizational change, program integrity, operational effectiveness and amalgamating federal, state and local resources. As an Executive Director he acts as liaison between the governing bodies, the client population and general public besides supervising daily operations. He also works closely with and provides professional advice to governing bodies and staff to effectively implement a variety of housing programs and ensure their compliance with mandated standards.

 

He comes from a strong real estate and education background. He served in a number of roles prior to his work as an Executive Director. He is also a licensed Texas Real Estate Broker and teaches part time continuing education real estate classes at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. He is also currently the Designated Broker for several of Affordable Homes of South Texas, Inc. real estate entities.

 

Mr. Ramirez has consecutively received twice the Executive Director of the Year award by The National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials and is a member of the Greater McAllen Association of Realtors

 

.Mr. Ramirez holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the University Texas-Pan American and a Master of Public Administration from The University of Texas Rio Grand Valley.

Brenda Guerrero McKendrick

Managing Realtor/ Vice President

Brenda McKendrick began her career in real estate in 2002.  She is the CEO of an Anesthesia company in South Texas region. Before being named CEO in August 2012, Brenda was Director of Operations to governmental real estate departments and asset management company's worldwide sales and operations, including medical management in physician offices as contract work. She is also recognized by two Top Performance awards for customer relationships and quality performance in response to an increasingly demanding marketplace.  She has acquired internship with the Office of Attorney General’s Office of Texas at an early age.

Brenda was born in San Antonio and raised in Rio Grande Valley, where she has earned a Bachelors in Business Management from UTPA.  She is a proud mother of two daughters Gabriella Martinez and Alexandria Martinez.
